Media Expert is one of the largest electronics and home-appliance chains in Poland, with a big online store and hundreds of physical shops. You will find electronics, appliances, phones, laptops and accessories there, often in promotions with a price with code or 0% installments. Below we explain how to use these mechanisms to buy smart and avoid overpaying.
Price with code - how it works
Many products at Media Expert have a so-called price with code, a lower price applied automatically once you add the product to the cart. The code is tied to a specific offer and is valid until a stated deadline, often given down to the hour. Always check the final amount in the cart - that is what counts, not the price shown on the listing.
Important
Next to the promotional price, Media Expert shows the “lowest price in the 30 days before the discount”. Compare it with the code price to judge how real the discount is.
0% installments and leasing
For more expensive gear, 0% installments are available, spreading the cost over several or a dozen months with no extra fees. Financing is handled by partner banks, and the maximum number of 0% instalments is shown next to the product price. For businesses, leasing is sometimes available too. Before choosing installments, check the contract terms and repayment schedule, and for time-limited campaigns, the date of the first instalment.
Delivery and in-store pickup
Media Expert offers courier delivery and, for larger appliances, transport to your address. A popular option is pickup in a physical store, often available very quickly if the product is in stock. For orders above a certain amount delivery can be free - you can check the threshold and costs on the product page and in the cart before buying.
Returns and warranty
When buying online, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason - a standard resulting from consumer law. Products are covered by a manufacturer’s or seller’s warranty and by statutory rights. Keep the proof of purchase and original packaging, especially for more expensive electronics, as it makes any return or complaint easier.
Outlet and renewed products
In the outlet section you will find products at lower prices - from display, after a return or with minor signs of use. The outlet description usually states the product’s condition and the reason for the reduction. It is a good way to save if you accept minor imperfections, but always read the condition description and check the warranty scope for that specific unit.
Tips that make shopping easier
- Compare the code price with prices in other stores, not just with the original price.
- Check the “lowest price in 30 days” to judge the real size of the discount.
- For more expensive gear, calculate the installment cost and check the financing terms.
- Consider in-store pickup if you want the product the same day and to avoid delivery costs.
- Keep the order confirmation and proof of purchase in case of a return or complaint.
