Post-season sales - how to buy cheaper after the season (a year-round guide)

Stores plan their assortment far in advance and need to clear warehouse space and shelves for the next collection. A product that cost full price a month ago goes on sale right after its season, because demand for it drops sharply - hardly anyone is looking for a winter coat in March. This is not a fake markdown for show, it is a real effect of seasonal demand, which is why the discounts tend to be genuinely the deepest of the year.

• January - winter clothing and gearCoats, winter boots, gloves, as well as ski and snowboard equipment get cut by 50-70% right after New Year. It is the best time to buy winter gear for next season.
